The Prehistory Club of Kenya

The Prehistory Club of Kenya visits Kiboro Primary School in Nairobi to teach students about human evolution, stone tools, and fossils.

The Prehistory Club of Kenya shares the latest discoveries in paleoanthropology and archaeology with the youth of Kenya. The Club offers unique opportunities for hands-on learning to students in secondary school, colleges, and universities, encouraging scientifically curious individuals to explore disciplines related to prehistory and other life sciences. The Club brings fossil casts into classrooms, invites students to visit active research sites in Kenya, and encourages young people to see the value of our shared human history.

This educational program was founded by Dr. Fredrick Manthi, a multiple-time Leakey Foundation grantee and former Baldwin Fellow. The Leakey Foundation has supported the Prehistory Club for decades. The Club is now seeking to expand its efforts, and we hope you will join us in supporting this worthy cause. A donation of any amount is appreciated.
