Classroom Visits

The Leakey Foundation provides students with the opportunity for face-to-face interaction with leading scientists in the field of human origins. In association with our annual speaker series, scientists visit 6th through 12th grade classrooms in the San Francisco Bay Area, Chicago, New York, and Houston. Students hear the inside scoop from the field or lab, learn about the relevance of scientific research to their lives, and discuss pathways to careers in science. This program reaches over one thousand students annually at no cost to the schools.

NOTE: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are not currently accepting requests for school visits.
